Terms of Service

By accessing or using Loremaster ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Loremaster is an AI-powered game master assistant module for Foundry Virtual Tabletop (Foundry VTT). The Service uses artificial intelligence to assist game masters and players in tabletop role-playing games.

3. License and Usage

3.1 License Grant

Upon purchase, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Loremaster for personal or commercial use in connection with Foundry VTT.

3.2 Restrictions

You may not:

  • Redistribute, sell, or sublicense the software
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software
  • Use the Service to generate illegal, harmful, or abusive content
  • Attempt to circumvent usage limits or authentication
  • Use the Service to violate any applicable laws or regulations

4. User Responsibilities

4.1 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your license key and any associated account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

4.2 Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You will not:

  • Use the Service to generate content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
  • Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Violate any third-party intellectual property rights

5. AI-Generated Content

5.1 Nature of AI Content

The Service uses AI to generate responses and content. AI-generated content may not always be accurate, appropriate, or suitable for your needs. You are responsible for reviewing and editing any AI-generated content before use.

5.2 Content Ownership

You retain ownership of the content you input into the Service. AI-generated responses are provided for your use but may be based on patterns from training data.

6. Third-Party Services

Loremaster relies on third-party AI services (Anthropic Claude) to function. Your use of the Service is also subject to the terms and policies of these third-party providers. We are not responsible for the availability or performance of third-party services.

7. Payment and Refunds

7.1 Payment

Loremaster is offered as a one-time purchase. All fees are as stated at the time of purchase.

7.2 Refunds

8. Disclaimers

8.1 "As Is" Basis

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

8.2 AI Limitations

We do not warrant that AI-generated content will be accurate, complete, reliable, current, or error-free. The AI may produce unexpected, inappropriate, or incorrect responses.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL LOREMASTER, ITS CREATORS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

10. Modifications to Service and Terms

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service operator resides, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
